We booked very late notice and Gia was extremely prompt to confirm and communicated really well in regard to the stay. She helped clarify some things as well that I wasn't aware of initially and was a super host. The stay is phenomenal and I'm sure it is incredible in the summertime located right on the waterway. Highly recommend.

Great stay at Top of the World. Perfect ski-out location with lift tickets available right in the lobby and a nice bar downstairs. The host was super responsive and everything was exactly as described.

Gia quickly accommodated us after a issue with our other Airbnb. She was kind, understanding and went out of her way to make sure my husband and his crew had somewhere to stay the night. She was super responsive and all of the instructions and everything was clear and helpful!! Thank you so much!!

This happened to be my first stay with a booking through air bnb and it did not disappoint. Gia was very informative leading up to our arrival with clear instructions and extremely helpful with recommendations. The house was beautiful and spotless. The scenery did and surrounding area was so peaceful and relaxing. This is definitely somewhere I would to come back yo during the warmer months.

I needed a quick New Years getaway with my pet—So I found this amazing place! Gia was responsive, kind, and everything was as described. Below is the review of the Virginia Dare Cottage from my parents, who were guests with Gia: My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful seven-day stay at the Virginia Dare Cottage, owned and operated by Gia. This trip was a 2025 Christmas gift from our three children and our first visit to the Outer Banks in over a decade. We loved the quiet Manteo neighborhood, which still offered easy access to Outer Banks attractions. The cottage is perfectly sized for a couple and very welcoming, with a comfortable family room, a small but well-equipped kitchen, a lovely bedroom, and an attached full bath. The walk-in shower was especially relaxing. The cottage was spotless and well appointed throughout. We highly recommend the Virginia Dare Cottage not only for the accommodations, but also for Gia’s excellent communication and helpful local recommendations. Prospective guests should also explore the larger homes on the property, which would be ideal for extended family getaways. Many thanks, Gia!

We spent several days in New York City, and being from the South—where life moves at a much slower pace in Little River, South Carolina—we left feeling completely city-exhausted. On our way home, we planned to stop in Washington, D.C., but knew we needed a couple of days to recharge before jumping into another busy city. Gia’s place was the perfect respite. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, it was tranquil, peaceful, and exactly what we needed. My husband and I are both very picky when it comes to comfortable beds, and this one was absolutely perfect. The blankets were warm and cozy, making it so easy to relax and unwind. We truly loved our experience here and couldn’t have asked for a better place to rest and reset.
